Journal

Before we get into technicalities, I want you to take a deep moment now to quietly journal about how Pluto currently feels in your life. Yes, you might not technically know where Pluto is in your chart, but you’ve taken this course because you feel on a deep level that something is changing in you. I want you to write how and where that change and transformation — or growing pains — are felt, in what area of your life and personality.

Firstly, blurt it all out on the page. You can start by writing — Dear Pluto.

And let your mind go free.

Higher/lower modes

Pluto has a lower mode and a higher mode, just as we have a lower mode (our shadow) and our higher selves. The appearance of Pluto in your life doesn’t need to be all doom and gloom. A successful Pluto transit will have taken you from the lower mode of Pluto, in the area of life it is transiting, to the higher mode in that same area.

The lower mode of Pluto is:

Death, destruction, greed, secrets, abuse, victim, tormentor, liar, taboo, sex, mysteries, negative intensity, unconscious desire, shadow

The higher mode of Pluto is:

Transfortmation, transfiguration, positive intensity, desire, phoenix rising, wealth, sensuality, abundance, unshakable confidence, sex, resurrection, rock’n’roll

Your Pluto landscape

Go back to your journalling above, and find each way you are feeling Plutonic charges.

How has lower mode Pluto been showing up in your life lately?

In what area?

Have you glimpsed this before?

How does this make you feel?

How long has this been happening?

Does this feel like old or new terrain?

List the four most troublesome areas Pluto is touching in your life right now and give each a heading.

Eg: Body issues, or Money and income, or Relationships and love, Self esteem,

Take each area, and list the lower and higher modes that you are seeing in your life. Be honest. Be vulnerable.

FOR ME

1-MONEY, 2-CAREER, 3-POWER/SELF ESTEEM , 4- REALTIONSHIPS

MONEY - I was seeing victim, punishment, depression

CAREER - I was seeing victim, unconscious desire, fear

POWER/ SELF ESTEEM - I was seeing abuse, fear, victim, negative

REALTIONSHIPS - I was seeing punishment, empty, liar, hate

After this, go through the list and write down the higher mode in each area. This is what you could be working to, what Pluto is asking you to call in and transform into.

For instance, if you feel fear and restriction right in the area of finances, then the higher mode would be financial power.

If you feel lack of confidence in relationships, you’d want to head to confidence, self esteem and dignity. You will be drawing on these for your Plutonic themes, below, so keep them close for now.

Pluto in Capricorn

Right now, Pluto is in Capricorn — right up until 2024. This means that whatever other planet he touches in your chart, the whole experience will have a Capricornian theme.

The last time Pluto was in Capricorn, the American Revolution was happening, and Thomas Jefferson created the clause in the American Constitution about the pursuit of happiness. Back then, the notion of an individual's own happiness was unheard of, and quietly revolutionary and relevatory. Indeed, accomplishments within the material realm as well as the pursuit of success, honor and prestige are unique hallmarks of this sign.

Other Capricornian themes include material resources, money, status, security and the "structures" of the outside world. With this the spotlight falls on respsonsibiltiy and serving the public or the other.

Finding your Plutonic theme

The area of your life that Pluto is traveling through and effecting is what I call the Plutonic theme. As Pluto moves around the skies it traverses sections of your chart.

It could be your identity and approach to life (1st house),

Money and values and belief systems (2nd house),

Communication and siblings (third house),

Family and home and father (4th),

Children, love affairs, play and creativity (5th),

Work, routine and health (6th),

Relationships, partnerships and business couplings (7th),

Love, sex, death, other people’s money (divorce) and transformation (8th),

Travel, higher education and other cultures/philosophies (9th),

Work, career, fame, renoun and the way the world sees you (10th),

Groups, friends, collectives and organizations (11th)

Psychic, mental health, soul transformation and source (12th).

But more than this:

Pluto might also be creating angles to other planets in your chart, and it is those planets that we need to pay attention to. If Pluto is traveling through your 2nd house of money and worldly goods, but is in opposition to your sun in the 8th house of sex, death, divorce and transformation, then you will be dealing with all those issues combined. Since sun rules identity, ego, self and the way you shine, the transit will be calling all this into question.

You can go here to do your chart and find your transits. Then you can go here to the glossary to find out what these difference planets mean for your Pluto transit.

For all transits, look at what the planet that pluto is hitting, and see which sign that rules. Sun rules Leo for me, so I look the to house that my Leo is in to see what area of life this transit will play out in. For me, this house is philosophy, religion and thought, which is why I’m creating this course! The creation of this course, a portal to abundance for me, was part of my Pluto transit to my sun.

What angle is Pluto making to your planets?

Next, look to what angle Pluto is making to your natal planet/s. Different angels can produce differing experiences in Pluto’s intensity and strength.

CONJUNCTION: if you have Pluto conjunct one of your natal planets, that natal planet is in Capricorn, which brings a double dose of this hardy star sign. The conjunction will also likely deliver sharper jolts and more sudden events and be forcing you to really sit and stew in the conjunction.

OPPOSITION: If you have Pluto opposing a planet, the other planet will be in Cancer. This means your issues will revolve around the Capricorn/cancer nexus of responsiblity in the outer world versus nurturing and emotions. The opposition will cause tension and friction over a longer period of time than a conjunction.

SQUARE: From Capricon, there is a possiblity of squares to three other planets. You can ask me in the QandAs about this. The square is like the opposition, it creates friction and a struggle over time, during which you are being asked to make changes and upgrade your life.

TRINE: Congratulations, this is a great aspect for manifesting what you want. The sky is the limit when Pluto trines one of your natal planets. To sit on this transit and wish for the best, however, is a lost opportunity. Shadow work and Pluto work will really help you in manifesting juicy delights and calling in alchemical gold.

Alas, this is not a predictive astrological course, and we are not interested in telling you your future. We want you to take in the information from your life and your chart, pick up on red flags and pings that you’re noticing, and then work to co-create with the universe. After all, Pluto is a powerful and slow moving planet, and it’ wouldn’t be surprising if it decided to ping another aspect of your life from what you thought.

As I was dealing with debt, finances and divorce (Pluto was in my 2nd house), I was also looking at sexuality, taboo, secrets and my own sexual power (Sun was opposite in my 8th). There were angles to my family and home, and this created a whole soup of cosmic transformation.

Nut out what your transit is trying to tell you. For instance, it could be trying to move you from a victim mentality to a self-supported life. From hater to lover. From fear to freedom. From shallowness to athenticity.

This is what I call your Plutonic theme.

If you notice people coming up a lot, say friends, then it’s about relationships.

Or it could be about work.

Or health.

Or family.

Or money.

Or confidence.

Or death.

With all the information you’ve gleaned above, write what your Plutonic theme is during this transit.

Listen to the meets higher self recording…

Journal

Write how you felt when you introduced your lower mode Pluto or shadow to your higher self.

Let’s get technical

What sign is your Pluto in?

This is generational. I come from the Pluto in Libra generation. It gives my plutonic theme an edge of beauty and equality and romance… but since my Pluto is in the 11th, it brings in groups and organisations. Before I had a handle on my Pluto I struggled to be a part of groups and collects without losing power.

What house is your Pluto in?

How have you seen this play out in your life?

Now take a look at any angles Pluto makes to other planets in your chart.

This is important. A square means harder work, a trine means harmony….

More important than any of the above, however, is what planet transiting Pluto is hitting in your chart. You can use you page on the website to find this informnation.

You will also find it on apps like TIME PASSAGES.
