The Heartmail #3
The Virus EDITION
Holy shit guys. Two weeks ago I was riding a wave of bliss and today I haven’t left the house for six days; have been homeschooling my little angel; wearing a pollution mask at my local grocery store; Purelling everything within reach. The world has turned upside down, and we are all left wondering what we did to deserve this. Or how do we get out of it. Or when will it end? Many of us are dealing with massive anxiety. Job losses. Income worries. Food shortages. Surgery lines. Fears and remorse and plenty of echinacea.
Right now, stuck at home with my work dwindling, I have accepted the loss of income and made peace with the fact that money is in short supply. I know that will change, as I beleive we are in a period of renewal. I’m lucky I have the space to be super easy on myself — and I’m trying to adopt an attitude of self-love. Yes, I am fully aware that people reading this might respond with groans — how the hell do you change anything with self love anyway? It seems such an airy concept.
And it is. But if you’ve met your shadow or transformed on a spiritual level/encountered your soul then you’ll know that without self love we can’t harness the peace we need in life. We have all been so busy focusing on climbing the ladder, perfecting our Uber ratings and doing yang-style workouts that issues of the soul have been placed in the archive folder. But let’s get serious about this soul business, because I firmly believe we as a society have become massively disconnected — and that needs to change.
FIRSTLY
Let’s all agree that being restricted in life is no fun. In times like this we are literally being asked to get still, to drop all our regular programming and face ourselves. Getting past the real and pressing anxieties caused by income loss are difficult. If you can’t work right now, then hopefully you have a place that feels safe. Because in getting still, our soul — or essence — expands. After all, the soul/ our essence is always looking for ways to shine (untethered bliss, remember, is the natural state for the soul).
Problem is, we have crammed our previous lives so full of empty stuff and hectic routines. Once we are forced to get still, whether through an accident, illness or crisis, the stillness emphasizes where we are out of balance.
This is what is happening now on a global level. This is a massive wake-up call — it’s up to us to do the work within, which will then help the collective. This is not about spiritual bypassing and pretending we’re not hurting. We are. It’s scary. Things are changing.
So as a primer to the Inner Space Patterning meditation I am putting out this week for free for a limited time, I am going to ask you a few questions to get started:
Questions:
What is this time of challenge bringing up in you?
What is being highlighted for you right now?
Do you feel out of balance?
What needs clearing out from your past?
What old hurts, wounds or grievances are still taking up space in your psyche?
Are you afraid, fearful, anxious or confused?
If you are fearful or anxious then you need to get in touch with your essence.
Why? The soul doesn’t know fear or lack, since it vibrates on the level of love, joy and peace.
The best way to get in contact with your soul/essence is through
A) meditation and stillness.
B) Through what I call Quintessence, which is essentially the core and authentic feelings that you live your life by.
To find these core feelings you need to do an inventory of your best moments and peak states and choose two-four feelings that are a direct expression of your soul. Those that help you express your inner, inimitable light in the world.
This is about re-wiring old parts of ourselves that carry wounds so that we can plant new seeds of growth. You can find out more about this in my Let Go meditation and class. The meditation is now free with the code LETGOFREE (yes, freedom is one of my quintessential qualities).
We are not going to get anywhere right now, so long as we don’t stop running around. And right now this is the time to slow down, to breathe deeply, to look within. Let’s Marie Kondo the shit out of our inner lives so that we can plant new seeds of growth.
I’m not going to put any recommendations in today, because my nine year old wants to find out more about mammals.
And everything is closed.
And my soul needs stillness.
Stay golden,
Emma xx
PS: Whatever you do in these coming days, be sure to ask for divine blessing as you go about your meditations and daily business. Love is everything. The more we clear our own pain and shame, the more the collective grows together.
